Peter Liversidge FoundFaces

Liversidge is a collector with an ability to sees faces appear in colloquial objects. The phenomenon to see images in for example cloud formations is sometimes referred to as pareidolia, and can be read as an attempt to create meaning in what appears to be meaningless.

In the Found Faces Proposal, the artist invites you as a visitor to help him in his investigation of the physicological phenomenon by sharing pictures of faces you might see in your everyday life.

From the proposal:
I request that those who wish to take part take photographs of faces they find in objects and arrangements where they are; at home; at work, in the street, on the train, by the sea in the mountains, on a plane, wherever they come across them. – Peter Liversidge
