Jochen Volz

Jochen Volz is the artistic director of the Instituto Inhotim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He was co-curator of the 2010 Aichi Triennial in Nagoya, Japan, and in 2009 he organized the international section of the 53rd International Art Exhibition, Venice Biennial together with Daniel Birnbaum. In 2006 he was guest curator of the 27th São Paulo Biennial: How to Live Together. Between 2001 and 2004, he was curator of Portikus Frankfurt am Main. As a critic he is writing for magazines and catalogues. 

Daniela Castro

 is a writer and curator, based in São Paulo, Brazil. Castro graduated in Art History from University of Toronto (2003/Canada). She has been awarded study grants and residency fellowships at the University of Hong Kong (2002/China), Peggy Guggenheim Collection Museum (2005/Italy) and the Art Gallery of York University (2007/Canada). Conceived and curated the Recombining Territories, an itinerant and interchanging exhibition that’s travelled seven capitals of Brazil (2006-2008). Curated Lights Out, the inaugural exhibition at the Museum of Image and Sound – MIS (2008/São Paulo). Her artistic collaborations (performances and installations) include projects with David Grassi, Coco Fusco, Fred Forrest and Luiz Duva. She’s been publishing widely in national and international art publications, and taught workshops on art writing and curatorial practices throughout Brazil.   She also collaborates with CAPACETE Entertainment.
