Ulla von Brandenburg, Chorspiel, 2010
For the autumn’s five-year celebration, we will invite for a revisit some of the 150 artists that we have worked with thus far and who have helped shape the first five years of our institution and whom we cannot let go.
Our celebration is centred on the Spetsen gallery, Bonniers Konsthall’s most unique and challenging exhibition space, in which we will present an exhibition series of site-specific installations, which also double up as frameworks for meetings, conversations and events.
The exhibition series will start with Chorspiel and Stereoscopic Scenography; a first collaboration between Ulla von Brandenburg and Malin Pettersson Öberg, whose painted drapery, shaped like a room of fabrics, encases Ulla von Brandenburg’s film Chorspiel, a family drama in a musical format. The motif of the drapery relates to the imaginary and provisionary rooms that appear in the film and to its theme of seeing, perspective and obeservation, which Pettersson Öberg associates to the glass architecture of the Spetsen gallery.
