Pile of dirt with a painting on top, 2006 & Pile of dirt with a bowling ball on top, 2007
Composed of piles of soil with cubes on top, the work hovers in the borderland between painting and sculpture. On one cube, the lower parts of a table’s four legs are painted, on the other a bowling ball. The artist works with shifting perspectives and scales, with an interest in how reality can be depicted.
“My intention is not to find answers but rather to allow for fallacies; to allow for thinking that runs circles around itself.” Kerstin Persson
