Henrik Håkansson (b. 1968) lives and works in Sweden and Germany. Recent activities include Radical Nature, Barbican Art Gallery, London. He has had solo shows at Museo Tamayo, Mexico and Palais de Tokyo, Paris.

Henrik Håkansson visualises nature taken out of its context and placed in an art environment to be examined in a new way. In the exhibition he shows one-hundred orchids that are spread out in three places in the gallery. In an artificial way, with an irrigation system and suspension devices he creates a living environment in an almost impossible place. Here the orchids turn into delicate exhibits.
