Ane Graff
Ane Graff (b. 1974) is based in Oslo and Berlin. Her recent exhibitions include the 2008 Tegne Biennial, Kunstnernes hus, Hardcore, Sørlandets Kunstmuseum, and Fall into Matter at STANDARD, Oslo.
In long series of graphite drawings, Ane Graff has explored how nature is depicted and created in the scientific image. As a scientist who scrutinises a preparation, she draws a stone or a cell formation. Ane Graff is interested in organic patterns and structures, and discovers similarities between silver structures and nebulae, which points to the universal structures of which we all are a part.
The following works are shown in the exhibition:
Silver Structure I, II & III, 2007
Diffuse Nebulae, 2007
Leaky Abstractions I & II, 2008
Structural Analysis I, II & III, 2009
